An 11-year-old girl suffered grazing to her arm after being knocked off her bike while riding in Aylesbury yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
The girl was riding along Elmhurst Road between 5pm and 5.30pm when the incident happened.
The man is white, aged 45 to 50 years old and of slight build.
He was wearing navy blue cargo style trousers and an orange coloured top.
Investigating officer PC James Lacey from Aylesbury police station, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident in which an adult kicked a young girl from her bicycle.
“Thankfully she was not more seriously injured.
“If you have any information about the incident please contact police.”
