A ‘bright, fresh and spacious’ new look has been given to Wendover’s Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity shop after it underwent a refurbishment.
Shoppers flocked to the store to witness the grand re-opening, with shop volunteers, the charity’s head of retail, Wendy Everett, Jane Wilson, chair of the charity’s retail board, and board member Lynne Cairns on hand to cut the ribbon.
Ms Everett said: “We’re all absolutely delighted with the makeover.
“I must say a huge thank you to the team for all their hard work, enthusiasm and support.
“We took over £900 on Friday and £1,100 on Saturday, so a very big thank you to all our wonderful customers as well.”
Since the shop opened 10 years ago, it has helped to raise more than £1.5 million.
