National title for Aylesbury drinks firm

An Aylesbury drinks wholesaler is celebrating after it was named wholesaler of the year at a prestigious awards dinner recently.

Dayla, based on the town's high street, put in an impressive performance at the first National Drink Distributors Awards dinner, held at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London.

At the event, members of the National Drink Distributors met up with key suppliers and a number of guests including some founder members of the association.

As well as the wholesaler award, the firm was named runner up in the categories of cask ale wholesaler and wine merchants of the year.

Dayla managing director, Tim Cooper, collected the award at the ceremony and said he was delighted that the long established company had received some national recognition.

He said he was sure the prize would help enhance Dayla's reputation in Aylesbury Vale and beyond.

Mr Cooper added: "Praise must be given to the loyal and hard working Dayla family team.

"Having acquired three business in the last four years, we are committed to growing our operations into the leading drinks distributor across the Thames Valley and the Home Counties.

Working closely with brewers, wine owners and the leading international drinks brands we aim to provide a unique package of service, support and a portfolio second to none."

Formerly North and Randall Ltd, established in 1851, Dayla has progressed from a small mineral water manufacturer into one of the leading names in the wholesale drinks world.

Dayla is a family company, now being managed by the third generation of the Cooper family.
