Business offers a home to mental help support group
A SPECIALIST mental health support charity based in Aylesbury has moved into new offices in the town.
The Richmond Fellowship, which previously had offices on Chamberlain Road, has relocated to the business premises of Sivatech in Gatehouse Close.
An official launch of the new office was held last Monday that was attended by Aylesbury MP David Lidington and the Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Sir Henry Auubrey-Fletcher.
Kevin Tunnard, operations director of the Richmond Felowship, said: “I feel really proud that we have moved into this new premises. For me this is part of a transition and can be used as a stepping stone for people who come here to move into paid employment.”
The Richmond Fellowship has provided a service in Aylesbury since 1995 and has evolved and grown so that it now offers a range of provision to Aylesbury Vale residents recovering from mental health problems.
The bulk of the finance for the new office space came from a 10,000 cheque from the Disability Aid Fund and a grant of 10,715 from the William Harding’s charity.
