A teenage boy was robbed of his football boots in Bedgrove Park, and police are hunting for the culprits.

This is the second robbery in the space of a week in the park - earlier a 13 year old boy had his mobile phone stolen as he rode on his bicycle.

In this incident, which happened at around 5pm on Sunday, three males approached the victim, a 16-year-old boy, who was playing football with his friends on a football field next to the Bedgrove Park Community Centre off Ambleside.

They threatened him and stole his black Nike football boots.

One of the offenders is white, aged approximately in his mid twenties, 6ft, skinny, with stubble. He was wearing a dark blue tracksuit with a black baseball cap.

The other two offenders are Asian and aged approximately in their mid teens.

Investigating officer PC Nicola Ambrose, from Aylesbury Local CID, said: “I would like to speak to any witnesses to the robbery or anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously or any suspicious vehicles in the area at around the time of the incident who have not already spoken to police.

“If you have any information which could assist enquiries please speak to police.”
