Aylesbury school closed with swine flu
A school in Aylesbury has been closed as two cases of swine flu are confirmed.
Pebble Brook School, on Churchill Avenue, will stay shut for at least seven days as they deal with the virus.
Jane Abbott from the school, said: "We have been given notice to close by the Health Protection Agency for an initial period of seven days to re-open provisionally on July 3.
"All the pupils and staff are being offered the Tamiflu vaccine and we are co-ordinating that with the Health Protection Agency."
Pebble Brook is a special school that takes pupils from across the county.
To help prevent the spread of the virus, parents are being asked to keep their child at home and their GPs will contact them.
The school is a collection point for staff to get their vaccines and arrangements have been made for boarding pupils to return home.
Mrs Abbott added: "Being a special school the children have to be addressed in a different way because they have a lot of other difficulties in their health."
Yesterday Buckinghamshire PCT confirmed there are seven cases of swine flu in Aylesbury Vale and 24 across the county.
