Aylesbury Civic Centre, car park and Maxwell Pool to be demolished by the end of the year
Three Aylesbury landmarks are expected to be pulled down by the end of 2010.
The closure of the Civic Centre and its car park has been timed so that it coincides with the opening of the Waterside Theatre in October this year.
Demolition of the Reg Maxwell is expected to begin in June and the site will be used as a temporary car park until the start of works on Aylesbury's new Waterside shopping centre.
The works are expected to cost 1.5million.
Major trees on the site will remain but the green area will be removed because it is being replaced by a public area outside the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.
