Aylesbury robberies may be linked

Two robberies which took place in Aylesbury and Stoke Mandeville on Wednesday may be linked, police have said.

The first robbery took place at 2.50am on Wednesday (July 21) after two women and a man accepted an invitation to a party from four men they met in Yates Bar in High Wycombe.

On route to the party the victim wanted to get out of the vehicle.

The vehicle pulled over on Lower Road, Stoke Mandeville, and the victim and her friends got out of the car.

She stated she was going to take the car's details and put it in her phone.

At this point one of the passengers got out of the car took the phone out of the victim's hand and pushed her.

The offender got back in the car and the vehicle drove off.

The offender is Asian, 5ft 8ins, of medium build, has a light complexion, a thin line of facial hair along the jaw line, was wearing a dark blue T-shirt and is possibly called Sunny.

The second robbery took place at 9.50pm, when three offenders demanded the victim's phone behind the Dairy Maid on Dunsham Lane.

His rucksack, containing keys and three pairs of jeans, were also stolen.

The first offender is Asian, aged 18, 5ft 10ins and of stocky build. He has facial stubble and was wearing black clothing.

The second offender is Asian, aged 18, 5ft 10ins, described as being in proportion to his height, has black, spiky long hair and was wearing a blue T-shirt.

The third offender is white, aged between 18 and 20, between 5ft 8ins and 6ft, has freckles on his cheeks and very short blond hair with tiny, tight s-shaped curls.

He was wearing a navy blue long-sleeved zip-up tracksuit top, white T-shirt, dark navy blue bottoms and has a local accent.

Police say they are keeping an open mind at this time, but are considering the possibility that the two incidents may be linked to the same offenders.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed either offence, recognises the descriptions of the offenders or has any information to contact them.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact PC Peter Bordass or PC Andy Hale at Aylesbury police station via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
