A delivery van driver suffered injuries to his legs and arms as he was dragged along the roadside by a thief who stole his van.

The victim, a man in his fifties, was delivering parcels in Cottesloe Road, Aylesbury when he was approached by a man at about 11am on Wednesday.

The driver was pulled away from the door of his vehicle and his keys removed from his uniform belt.

In an effort to stop the offender driving the van away, the victim suffered injuries to his legs and arms as he was dragged along the road a short distance.

The white, Fiat Ducato FedEX delivery van was found abandoned in the Six Bells public house car park in Beaumont Road, Oxford, at about 2pm that afternoon.

Parcels, a set of keys and the victim’s wallet had been stolen.

The offender is described as white, about 5ft 6ins and in his twenties. He was wearing a dark blue top, possibly with a hood, with white imagery woven into it.
