A-levels: Mandeville proud of its sixth form students

The Mandeville School is celebrating after a significant improvement in Sixth Form results.

Fifty per cent of grades achieved were A*-C, with 10% of students achieving an A* grade and 13% a distinction at diploma level.

The results mark a 20% rise in attainment at A2 level and a 3% rise in vocational courses.

AS results have also improved with 94% of students gaining A*-E grades across a diverse range of subjects.

In a statement the school said: “We are delighted that many of our students have achieved the results required to progress to higher education.

“Our highest achieving student achieved A*s among her results enabling her to study psychology at Nottingham University.

“The school is proud of all of our sixth form students, particularly the significant number who have gained A* and Distinction grades.”
