(MONDAY FEBRUARY 12) VALE Brewery based in Haddenham has produced their first new beer this millennium.
Vale Pale Ale, V.P.A. is brewed in the style of the famous India Pale Ales, where a strong hop and high alcohol content was needed to keep the beer fresh in the three to five month journey to India.

Mark Stevens, founding partner in the brewery said "V.P.A. retains these flavours and has a strong hop aroma, but at 4.2% ABV, makes it a mid strength, refreshing pale ale, dry to the taste, but one that will not knock you out."

He adds "Our beers have a strong local following, we are embarking on a large expansion plan and this beer fills a gap in our range, providing a broader variety, which will appeal to all tastes."

Vale Pale Ale will be available from March 2007 and will be on sale at the five Vale Brewery pubs in Aylesbury, Oxford, Oakley and Northampton. Vale beers also appear in discerning freehouses throughout the region.
