TRAVELLERS have moved onto the edge of football pitches in the Meadowcroft area of Aylesbury today (Wednesday).
Caravans have been moving onto the site opposite Meadowcroft Community Centre all day and now the police are on the scene talking to them.

Dave Cannon, who lives on Meadowcroft and whose daughter's garden backs onto the pitches, said this afternoon: "There are 12 caravans and they are still coming in now. It's all because the grass cutter left the gate open. We've rung them and they said it wouldn't happen again, but it's a bit late now.

"This is a recreational area. Where people walk by the river and play. You can't get anywhere near there now. They've got dogs and they are riding their quad bikes around."

Have you been affected by the travellers?
