A SUMMER music festival near Stewkley will go ahead in June after permission was granted yesterday (Tuesday).
Aylesbury company AP Productions Entertainments and Events Ltd submitted a licensing application to hold the Legends of Rock 'n' Roll three-day event on a field near Littlecote, Stewkley on June 26-29 this year.

Residents spoke out at the Aylesbury Vale District Council licensing sub-committee meeting about concerns of disruption, congestion and noise, but members gave permission for the event to take place.

John Prieg, event director agreed conditions with the council, to help ease concerns and the "family orientated" festival will go ahead. Mr Prieg already has support from police and the fire service and will have tribute acts of bands such as Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley and Roy Orbison.

It will be a ticket-only fundraising event in aid of the Breast Cancer Appeal. People will be able to camp overnight or come for one day.
