THE hunt is on for inspirational teachers in Bucks who are prepared to use their summer break to help teach underprivileged children in India.
Only a few places are left on the new travel initiative designed exclusively for teachers.

The Travelling to Teach application deadline on May 31 is looming and Arvind Malhotra, Managing Director of GapGuru, is urging teachers in the area to think about using their summer break to help teach underprivileged children in India:

He said: 'We've had a fantastic response from dedicated and inspiring teachers throughout the UK who are using this fantastic opportunity to make a difference during their summer holiday. We've got just a few places left now, so I really want to urge all teachers out there who are prepared to use their summer break to teach in India and benefit the lives of children who need it most, to get in touch.'

The Travelling to Teach trip lasts for three weeks, from August 9 to August 29 and gives teachers the opportunity to explore India and work with children from some of the poorest backgrounds across the country. The programme is open to all qualified teachers, English language teachers and those with an aptitude for drama, arts and crafts, music or sport.

For further information or to apply for GapGuru's Travelling to Teach 2008, (deadline 31st May) please visit www.gapguru.com/travellingtoteach.aspx or call 0800 032 33 50.
