Plenty going on in the Vale today (Saturday)

VALE Park in Aylesbury will be a hive of activity today (Saturday), one of many events around the Vale.
Events on today (Saturday) includes:

PARKLIFE: A full programme of entertainment for all the family including theatre, sports, music, arts and crafts. Vale Park , Aylesbury. All day. Also on tomorrow, Sunday Sept 7.

OPEN MIC: At the Limelight Theatre, Aylesbury, 8pm. If you've a talent you'd like to share with others, why not join us for an evening of music, comedy, poetry and magic.
Mainly an acoustic evening - under 18 bands need to book in advance. Box office: 01296 424332.

HORSES: Charity Horse Ride, a chance for people to ride in beautiful countryside, away from roads. Local farmers around Dundridge Manor, St Leonard's are hosting a sponsored ride on private land to support Rotary Charities.
There is the option of going over about 30 jumps of moderate height.

FETE: Worminghall Village Fete at the Clifden Arms, 2pm. Many activities: egg throwing, clay shooting. Olympic themed fancy dress and workshop for budding athletes. Evening BBQ with Bolt from the Blue - evening tickets £10 from 07973 186292.

FETE: Monks Risborough will be holding its annual family fete. Nice things to eat - cream teas, cakes and produce -plus plants, books, raffle and tombola. From 2pm to 4pm at Monkton House on Burton Lane. In aid of St Dunstan's Church.

DOGS: The League of Friends of Chilternview Nursing Home, St Johns Drive, Stone are holding a Fun Dog Show and Autumn Fayre. 1.30pm until 4pm. Judging from 2.30pm . Bring your best friend and join us for a fun afternoon. The classes include special veteran (7 years and over), cutest puppy (1 year and under) and dog with waggiest tail. Entry fee £1 per class.
Other attractions include cream teas, bric a brac, books, toys, tombola.

QUIZ: In aid of the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity, at Jardines, Silver Street, Aylesbury. Test your General Knowledge in teams of up to 6 people.
Tickets £10 including buffet supper. Bar available. 715pm for 7.30pm start, until 11pm approx. Contact 01296 429975 for more information.
