The week of action took place between Monday 19 and Sunday 25 July in the Wing area after residents there said speeding was their number one concern.

More than 50 fixed penalty notices were handed out to drivers for a range of offences including speeding, not wearing a seat belt or using a mobile phone.

A further ten drivers were caught out in Pitstone and Edlesborough by the police's automatic number plate recognition system, for various matters including insurance and licence enquiries.

Two arrests were made for possession of cannabis and one man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

A further arrest was made for a man who was wanted on warrant.

A suspected burglar was also arrested.

Neighbourhood Sgt Paul Cladingboel, said: "Overall, this has been a really positive exercise for the Wing South area and something we would like to run again in the future.

"Hopefully residents will have appreciated our presence and the work to tackle the neighbourhood priority and local concerns."
