Man's ear badly hurt in attack in Wendover

A MAN'S ear was severely injured when he was attacked in Wendover recently.
Police are only now appealing for information on the attack, which happened at 12.20am on Saturday, April 19 under The Red Lion Pub's archway in the village.

A 36-year-old local man was walking out of the pub with a friend when the assault occurred.

DC Sharon Vann, the officer investigating the case, said: "The injured man was attended by paramedics and received treatment in Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

"I am appealing for any witnesses who saw the assault or have information about the incident to come forward."

A 30-year-old man from Aylesbury has been arrested on suspicion of causing grevious bodily harm and has been released on police bail.

Anyone who saw something suspicious at the time or who knows who committed the crime is asked to DC Vann at Aylesbury police station on 0845 8 505 505.
