Two Aylesbury men have been sentenced for raping a 13-year-old girl.
Elvis Taona, 22, and Walter Zenzele Mwale, 18, both of Ascott Road Aylesbury, were sentenced at Oxford Crown Court today (8/3) after being found guilty of raping a teenager last summer.

Taona was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison for rape.

Mwale received eight years for rape and six months for possession of a bladed article, found on him when he was arrested. Mwale's sentences will run concurrently.

The sentences relate to the rape of a teenage girl in Vale House, Aylesbury, on July 29 2009. The men were arrested less than a week later.

Det Sgt Steve Ring, who led the investigation, said: "We are pleased with the sentence handed to Taona and Mwale as it reflects the seriousness of their crime and is justice for their young victim, who has been extremely brave throughout this ordeal."
