House in Wingrave hit by lightning
THREE fire engines from Aylesbury were called to Wingrave last night after reports a house had been hit by lightning.
They were called to the property in Stookslade at around 6pm. It is understood that the roof, loft and first floor of the house were completely destroyed.
The homeowners were at home at the time. A man tried to put out the fire with a hose pipe, burnt his arms and was taken to hospital.
