Ronnie Biggs, one of the Great Train Robbers, is set to appeal Jack Straw's refusal to grant him parole.
Speculation had mounted that Biggs would be freed imminently after the Parole Board had recommended that the 79-year-old should be released from prison.

Jack Straw refused parole saying Biggs is wholly unrepentant over his actions.

Should Biggs be released?

Of course Biggs should be released, straight back onto a plane bound for his beloved Mexico.
He made that country his own after fleeing there - let's be realistic about this, the ONLY reason he came back to England was hyis acute lack of cash meant he couldn't get the medical treatment he needed so he thought he'd come back here & get waited on hand and foot, and scrounge free medical treatment - and like fools, the country is giving him just what he wants.
These criminals are getting a better standard of living than many of our pensioners.
Pack his bags & ship him back - and make sure his wife & kid goes with him.
