THE search is onto find local residents who think they can turn around the fortunes of Aqua Vale Swimming Pool in Aylesbury.
The district council is establishing a charitable trust to manage Aqua Vale in Aylesbury and the Swan Pool and also the Leisure Centre in Buckingham.

The trust needs local people on its board of trustees to ensure that the sport and leisure facilities meet the needs of local communities.

Cllr David Thompson, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: "We are looking for individuals who have enthusiasm, drive and can make a real difference to the running of the leisure centres.

"The trustees will have a very influential role in developing and improving the facilities and will have a strong say in how they are run.

"It's a great opportunity for anyone who has an interest in sport and leisure and a desire to see that sporting opportunities are provided for all."

Local residents can find out more about the leisure trust and the role of the trustees at an open evening which is being held at Aylesbury's Civic Centre on Monday September 22 between 6pm and 8pm

To register your interest in attending the open evening, contact Caroline Wheller on 01296 585185.
