A DRIVER managed to steer a bus to safety after it caught fire in Whitchurch this morning.
Fortunately there were no passengers on board the bus travelling on the A413 at 7.04am

Firefighters from Aylesbury attended the incident and found the Arriva bus already well alight. They used hose reels and breathing apparatus to put out the fire.

The driver steered the bus to the safety of a layby after the bus lost all power. The fire is believed to have started in the engine compartment.
