BREAKING NEWS: Man killed in collision on Aylesbury High Street

A 42-year-old man has died after a collision involving a lorry and cyclist on Aylesbury High Street this morning.
Police are currently at the scene of the fatal collision near the Aylesbury Vale District Council premises.

Emergency services were called at 10.38am this morning after reports of a collision between a lorry and a cyclist outside the council building. The cyclist, a 42-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Exchange Street is shut to allow collision investigators to investigate the cause of the crash. Diversions are in place.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the cyclist or lorry beforehand should contact the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don't want to speak to police or leave your name, call the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A 60-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is in police custody.
