TRAVELLERS who were camped out in Meadowcroft last week have been moved on by police.
The group with about 20 caravans arrived on the site near football pitches in Quarrendon on Wednesday and by Friday evening they had moved on as a result of an order made by Aylesbury Vale District Council on Thursday.

Resident Dave Cannon said the travellers have left behind rubbish despite only being there for a few days.

He said: "Now they have left three hedge cuttings, bags of nappies, uncooked food, cooked food and bags of what my daugher described as 'unmentionables'. With this weather we've been having clearing it up is going to be a nasty job for someone to do now."

The district council has yet to announce the cost of the clean up operation and when it will take place.

Were you affected by the travellers?
