Aylesbury has a new mayor

PENNI Thorne has become new Mayor of Aylesbury.
The former deputy mayor, who lives in Bedgrove, takes over from previous incumbent Cllr Jenny Puddefoot.

She was elected at the Annual Town Council Meeting on Thursday.

Cllr Ranjula Takodra was made deputy mayor.

During the course of her year in office Cllr Puddefoot attended 230 events and functions on behalf of the town council.
