THE father of a baby who died weeks after his first birthday has appealed to the Aylesbury public to help find his phone containing a host of irreplaceable pictures of his son.
Courtney Scarlett died in December 2005 after a battle with restrictive cardiomyopathy, meaning his heart chamber were unable to fill with blood properly because of stiffness of the heart. His father Leyton Scarlett lost his mobile phone on Monday with a collection of priceless memories on it.

He said: "It has all of Courtney's photos on, voice mails and pictures of Courtney's new brother Finley and my daughter as well. I'm devastated about it. They are not on a computer - they are all on the phone. It's a Nokia 6680 and it's got Finley's picture on the front as the screensaver. The phone's been barred so it can't be used, but it's the pictures."

Thousands of pounds were raised by the public after Courtney died for the Courtney Scarlett Memorial Fund and The Bucks Herald put their support behind a campaign to get more donors on the Organ Donors' Register. Last year Mr Leyton and Courtney's mother Louise McEnteggart found out Courtney's heart valves had been used to save the live of two other children.

Mr Scarlett said if anyone has found the phone they can call him on 01296 435217 and leave a message. People can also hand it in at Alta Moda, based in Kingsbury, Aylesbury.

Have you lost something precious to you?
