We are gunning for a chart-topping hit
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE band Young Guns return to their home town of High Wycombe next Thursday (February 2).
The group have continued to go from strength to strength after playing the main stage at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in 2010 and touring all around the world.
The latest tour aims to promote the group’s forthcoming second album called Bones. Bass player Simon Mitchell, 27, of Burnham, says he is looking forward to playing at Bucks New University.
He admits he his enjoying his new-found fame, and modestly says it is ‘quite cool’ when you get recognised walking around your home town.
The band are currently embarking on a UK and European tour and aim to perform in Japan and The US in the coming year.
Mitchell says his highlight so far was performing at Reading and Leeds.
“It was the first time we played there and we opened up the festival on the main stage, that was incredible,” he explains.
