The kids from East High present Disney magic ...

FIRST the smash hit Disney Channel Original Movie, then the record breaking soundtrack, and now Disney's High School Musical spreads its magic across Milton Keynes as part of its first ever UK theatre tour.

This spectacular stage production, complete with everyone's favourite characters and all of the unforgettable songs from the movie, comes to Milton Keynes Theatre for one week only from June 9-14 and since tickets went on sale last year the demand has been phenomenal. There is now limited ticket availability and anyone still hoping to grab their seats for this summer smash-hit is being advised to check with the theatre's box office daily for returns.

For anyone who has so far missed High School Musical mania, the show tells the story of Troy, a popular high school basketball star, and Gabriella, a shy, academically gifted newcomer, who discover they share a secret passion for singing. When they sign up to audition together for the lead roles in the school musical it threatens East High's rigid social order and sends their peers into uproar.

Elizabeth Adlington, Milton Keynes Theatre's Chief Executive, said: "We are delighted to be part of the High School Musical phenomenon and look forward to welcoming families from across the region to Milton Keynes Theatre and introducing many children to the theatre for the first time."

First broadcast in 2006 the Original Disney Channel Movie, soundtrack album, and other High School Musical media have gone on to create a global entertainment phenomenon with children and their families across the world falling in love with the kids from East High.

The leading roles of Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez are played by Ashley Day and Lorna Want.
