Shaken not stirred at Aylesbury's top secret event

Aylesbury's Limelight Theatre is hosting an evening celebrating Britain's number one secret agent at the James Bond Themed Night on Saturday July 11.

Enjoy a Martini at the bar (shaken, not stirred) and classic Bond numbers, played by local covers band Virtual Blue, as well as disco and rock 'n' roll hits.

There'll be casino style games and a James Bond quiz. Dress to impress in either DJs, glamorous dresses or maybe come as a classic Bond character from one of the films. There will be a prize for the best-dressed person.

Tickets at 10, concessions 8, are on sale now from the box office on 01296 431272. All proceeds from the evening will go towards Queens Park Arts Centre's Purchase / Refurbishment Appeal.

The Centre recently raised over 325,000 to purchase the freehold of their building from Buckinghamshire County Council. The money was raised over two years and the sale went through in March 2009 giving the centre some much needed security of tenure.

The centre has now launched an ambitious project to raise over 500,000 to improve the fabric of the building and replace / upgrade equipment and facilities, to ensure that visitors continue to have an enjoyable and comfortable experience. The next fundraising event will be a summer Ceilidh on Saturday July 18.
