FORMER Mike & The Mechanics frontman Paul Carrack will perform some of his biggest hits at the Waterside on Sunday (tonight) – along with his son, who is now the drummer in his band.

Carrack brings his seven-piece group to Aylesbury and will be playing some of his new material, which is due to be released later this year.

The Sheffield-born singer said: “There are certain songs we always include in the set, some of the big hits I have been associated with such as How Long, The Living Years and Over My Shoulder.

“But we are always producing new stuff and have new songs coming out in the summer. The difficult thing is to strike the right balance between familiar material and keeping it fresh for people.”

Carrack has worked with many of the world’s biggest performers during his amazing career which started in the 70s.
