Disney kicks off 3-D films at Aylesbury

AYLESBURY cinema-goers can now enjoy a 3-Dimensional view of their favourite films.

The Odeon in Aylesbury is one of 19 venues in UK's largest cinema chain kicking off this new experience with Disney's Bolt, the latest 3-D blockbuster.

It hit the screens on Friday (February 6) a week before it goes on general release around the UK in standard format.

Armed with a pair of high-tech polarised 3-D glasses audiences can get up close and personal with a range of great film releases starting with Disney's Bolt.

Disney has combined surround sound and 3-D imagery to produce a unique outing for all the family. Super-dog Bolt, voiced by John Travolta, is the central character leading a life of adventure and danger - until the camera stops rolling.

When the canine star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from Hollywood to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet.

Armed with only the delusions his on-screen feats and powers are real and the help of two unlikely companions, a house cat named Mittens and a TV-obsessed hamsters named Rhino, Bolt discovers he does not need super powers to be a hero.

Following on from Bolt, the Odeon will bring a host of 3-D films to Aylesbury's screens this year, including Monsters vs Aliens, Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, A Christmas Carol and G-Force.

As more state-of-the-art screens come into the cinemas, Odeon plans to make these a platform for many other projects including giving their customers the opportunity to watch sports events, concerts, opera and ballet performances on screen.

For more information go to www.odeon.co.uk and to buy tickets now for Bolt on the Odeon filmline 0871 2244007 or visit the Aylesbury box office.
