THAT's the question being asked by today's correspondent John Field from Watermead
What the hell is the country coming to? Those pompous idiots who sit at the council, and in parliament starting at the top with that twit Brown -

So what if it is not is your nice green / brown crates with your stupid logo on, they want us to recycle so pick all of it up.

We pay for you to sit at the top table and make decisions so get on with it and tell those collecting to collect all that's put out and NOW.

John Field
One very upset over taxed and had it up to here with it all ENGLISH man.

Do you agree with Mr Field?

To be honest, this council/authority really needs a good old-fashioned kick up the backside.
In no way do these people earn their over-inflated salaries & yet they sit there week in, week out, lording it over us mere mortals, telling us how we should live.
We can recycle pop bottles & milk bottles - but we can't recycle their lids.
WHY? The lids are made of plastic.
We can recycle paper & card but not cardboard???
We cannot recycle the yellow pages & yet over the last few weeks, every house has had one chucked on their doorstep - if they want a copy or not.
As far as I am concerned, if it is made of plastic, it goes in the plastics crates, if it is paper or paper based, it goes in the paper crate. I'm not a chemist - or whatever the occupation is that deals with types of plastics, if it looks like plastic & feels like plastic then in it goes.
It is up to the powers that be to make manufacturers tow the line & ensure ALL their packaging is recyclable.
And to make sure all the plastics is sorted properly, we need proper sorting facilities manned by those who are given community service. How about using the facilities at Halton? I always see plenty of staff there marching around, put them to good use guarding the CS people. And if these people don't show up, send the guards around to their house & drag them off to camp where they can finish their CS hours as members of a chain gang.
Seems to me we can kill a few birds with one stone here.
