In reply to the 'Dinton Demon'. I also a monkey sitting on the grass verge of the Bishopstone Road heading towards the Portway junction in Stone. This was at approx. 1:30pm on a sunny day in June. It was a light fawn/beige colour with a dark face mask and had a very long tail (just like a monkeys). At first I thought it was a cat, so I slowed right down in case it ran out into the road, but as my car got alongside I saw it was a monkey. When I got home I told my husband, he thought I was seeing things!!
