OVER the last weekend I attended the Watermead central area near to the pub by the shops and fountain with my three young god children and their parents, whilst we were enjoying a relaxing time I went to the lakes edge and was disappointed with what I saw.
It was delightful on a warm summers day to see people wandering around and enjoying the views accross the lake, what I find hard to understand is the mess on the area leading to the lake caused by Swans & Ducks, This area is full of old excrement from these animals, its lovely to see the animals and the children take great delight in seeing them, but to be honest it is like walking around a sewage farm.
If this was anyway in Europe such as Southern France or Spain, the area would be jetwashed on a daily basis. I do not live in Watermead but would have though the residents would address the situation. The place is a disgrace and am also suprised the pub is not addressing the situation, it really is rather unpleasant and could easily have been prevented from turning in to the sorry state it now is.
