TODAY'S correspondent is worried about the future of Kingsbury after a bookmaker opened recently
Kingsbury Square will have to be renamed the Gambling Quarter with the arrival of yet another bookmaker. This arrival will mean three bookmakers within touching distance of each other. I appreciate commercial properties need to have tenants and it should provide a few additional jobs. However, it's a shame that a nice part of the town centre is not being used to it's full potential.

Absolutely agree with Francine. Kingsbury Square has ended up decidedly downmarket with its bookies, nail shops and the rest. It's undoubtedly a missed opportunity - could have been a really cool place if someone with vision had oversight over the type of establishments best suited to the area.

Can someone please point out Kingsbury square on a map?
I can find Kingsbury - an almost triangular-shaped area (as pictured above) but no reference anywhere to a Kingsbury square.
As for this being a 'gambling area - why not? If there is a need for yet another bookies then fair play, there was a time, not very long ago, when Kingsbury seemed overrun with drinking establishments.
And what about the high street? It seems like every other shop is a charity shop.
