AN Aylesbury teenager says threatening behaviour in the Vale goes too far.
I READ with interest the letter from an Aylesbury teenager last week in your newspaper.

I do not believe that he is being too sensitive, I also find that many people my own age behave in an intimidating manner.
It is bad enough having to overcome bullying and threatening behaviour in school, but it also occurs outside school on a regular basis.

I have experienced threatening behaviour towards me and my friends from both male and female teenagers, sometimes up to around four years older than me.
Last year, me and my friends were sitting in the McDonalds in the town centre, and this much older girl and her friend walked in.

My friend looked behind her and caught the girls eye. The girl immediately walked up to us and asked us if we "had a problem" with her. Two hours later me and my friends were walking around town and the girl walked past us, we were then chased by her and the friends she was with around town because she wanted to beat us up.

I have also received insulting remarks from boys who are with their girlfriends. They have asked me why I am looking at them, deliberately trying and provoke an argument between their girlfriend and I.

I think it's disgraceful that most teenagers do not feel safe in their local community because of a minority that tries to act tough to impress each other.

I have also noticed that it is
only teenagers that are in a small group that are targeted because these cowards are too scared to try and bully large groups.

I think that it's time that something was done to try and stop this threatening behaviour in the local community.
