AUTUMN is fast approaching and with it the new season at Aylesbury's Limelight Theatre.
First up on Friday September 5 is Wild Willy Barrett's Sleeping Dogz with Mary Holland and John Devine.

Often zany and comic, the multi-instrumental talents of this group shine through, playing the most unlikely amalgamation of styles you may ever experience in one night. The Limelight cannot promise that guitars will not be damaged in this show led by the legendary Wild Willy Barrett - book early.

Rocking the Blues at the Limelight is back on Monday September 8 with a gig from the Blues Pack featuring three legendary vocalists - blues/soul sensation Paul Cox, Earl Green (ex. Paul Lamb and Otis Grand) and John Smyth.

On Friday October 17 there is another blues treat in store with a visit from the Carvin Jones Band. If you like Hendrix or The Hamsters you'll love Carvin Jones.

On Friday October 10, Jazz at the Limelight presents Georgia Mancio and her quartet. Georgia is one of the UK's brightest young jazz stars. Or why not try a poetry and jazz evening on Saturday October 25, in which the Michael Garrick Trio celebrate the life and work of Vernon Scannell, one of the best-known war poets of the Second World War.

If folk is your thing, you'll enjoy Tiny Tin Lady with Rosie Doonan on Saturday September 27.

There are theatrical events too, starting on Saturday September 13, with a new comic drama, The Honorary Yorkshireman, celebrating the early life of the young vet who became known to the world as James Herriot.

There are a couple of outings for the Aylesbury Comedy Club, kicking off on Friday September 12 with three dynamic comedians, Dan Antopolski, Holly Walsh and Paul Foot.
