SEAN Lock, the star of Channel 4's 8 out of 10 Cats, is back on the road again.
The Spot the Difference tour is a brand new show from the award winning comedian described by Ricky Gervais as 'one of the most influential British stand up's of the past 10 years'.

Sean's BBC cult comedy series 15 Storeys High was released on DVD in February and was brilliantly received, he has hosted a second series of the Channel 4 show TV Heaven, Telly Hell, and is a regular team captain on Channel 4's 8 Out Of 10 Cats, now in its fifth series.

Unfortunately, much of Sean's recent success has involved being cooped up inside TV studios for the past four years and he's been missing his first love: live comedy.

Sean is thrilled at the prospect of hitting the road once again.
"It was good to have a break, but it's brilliant to be returning to stand-up. Because I've got young kids, it's been a long time since I've done a tour. But because I've got young kids, there's never been a better time to do one!"

So what will Sean be entertaining us with in his show? One of his principal themes will be his deep unhappiness with the recently introduced smoking ban in English pubs.

"I'm not a heavy smoker, but I'm furious about it," the comic fumes, clearly in need of a cigarette to calm himself down.

"It's a power that a Government simply should not have. I hate the fact that this is yet another terrible thing we've inherited from America.
"Far and away the worst thing is that now there is absolutely no possibility that I can ever have a pint and a cigarette again. So in the show I've come up with some ingenious solutions to allow me to smoke in the pub. What are they? You'll have to come to show to find out!"

Sean will also be giving us the benefit of his thoughts on green issues. "I explore why some people care so passionately and genuinely about the environment and others are far more concerned about cellulite. Caring about the environment is no fun, it's associated with a dour, post-war lifestyle where the family all have to have a bath together and can go on holiday nowhere more exotic than Bognor."

Sean doesn't do heavyweight political material, but his down to earth brand of humour has endeared him to legions of fans, who will no doubt turn out in force for the gig on Saturday.
