Puppets string audience along at Aylesbury Civic Centre

SPECTACULAR aerial acrobatics on the flying trapeze, amazing cycling stunts, trampolining ups and downs and cheeky antics of the clowns will be at Aylesbury Civic Centre in the form of - a puppet show.
The DaSilva marionette circus troupe has been delighting audiences around the world, since it was first created by Ray and Joan DaSilva in 1962. Now their son Nik Palmer, an award winning puppeteer and former circus performer Sarah Rowland-Barker have resurrected these beautifully crafted marionettes into a charming and fun piece of theatre for all ages.
The main players of the show are Sarah Rowland-Barker and Nik Palmer. Sarah has been performing and leading workshops for over 25 years and has attained an MBBO in classical dance and then went on to obtain a degree in dance and psychology.
After further training at the National Centre for Circus Skills and Performing Arts Sarah went on to work in theatre, street performance, television and to tour with Snapdragon Circus and No Fit State Circus.
Nik Palmer is an award winning puppeteer, puppet maker and musician. He worked for Norwich Puppet Theatre for a number of years before a short spell at Lecoq mime school in Paris after which for 20 years he was one half of Parachute Theatre Company. He is also the son of Ray and Joan DaSilva, founders of the Norwich Puppet Theatre and the DaSilva Puppets.
