STARS of comedy launched Cinderella, this year's panto at Aylesbury Civic Centre.
Headlining the actors will be Bernie Clifton - renowned as one of the craziest visual comedians in the business - who arrived yesterday with his feathered companion, Oswald the Ostrich.

Chairman of Aylesbury Vale District Council, Netta Glover, welcomed the cast to Aylesbury. The line-up consists of Mark Two who has acted in various television programmes including Peak Practice, Bergerac and Shine on Harvey Moon.

He will play the part of Rita whilst his fellow ugly sister, Wicked Wanda, will be played by Jamie Steen who is a seasoned performer in cabaret and theatre.

Other members include Nick Murphy as Dandini and Richard Carr as Baron Hard-up.

Theatre manager, Richard Heason, said: "The cast and crew of the civic centre took to Aylesbury in style. They took over the farmers market with the ugly sisters causing a stir in their bright costumes and high hats. Oswald looked on in fear as Ostrich burgers were served up at one of the stalls."

The show runs at Aylesbury Civic Centre from December 11 until January 4. Ticket prices vary from £9 to £17, to reserve yours call 01296 486009.
