'FIRST rate playing, this is as exciting as it comes' is how the Organists' Review journal reports on the virtuosic organ playing of Joseph Nolan, undoubtedly one of this country's most gifted organists.
He will be performing his annual organ concert for Aylesbury audiences on Wednesday, May 7 at Aylesbury Methodist Church.

His career is being recognised internationally with performances in many leading venues, particularly in the UK and the USA.

Until recently, Joseph held the unique post of 'Organist of Her Majesty's Chapels Royal'. He has now been awarded the prestigious appointment of Organist and Master of the Choristers at St George's Cathedral in Perth, Australia.

This has not precluded his early return to the UK to fulfil two pre-arranged engagements, Ripon Cathedral and Aylesbury Methodist Church.

Joseph's visit is in keeping with the high calibre of recitalists who have graced this venue since the annual event commenced in 1987. Such brilliant performers supported by an outstanding organ, excellent vision and acoustics, set in an attractive comfortable church, is undoubtedly the reason why this as such a popular concert. This event will be the last major concert to be held at this church prior to major rebuilding.

Tickets from the church coffee bar, open weekday and Saturday mornings, or from Derrick Matthews on 01296 488067. Starts 7.30pm.
