Any dream will do, but not any coat. Nope, that has to a very special one, a coat of many colours.
After all this is a colourful retelling of the Biblical story we are talking about.
From Monday, Joseph is back on the MK Theatre stage, and that coat will be getting plenty of wear!
This is a chance to soak up a real classic – and with no need to trudge to London and back. Bill Kenwright's production is right on your doorstep.
In the title role, you will benefit from the talents of Craig Chalmers.
If you watched the BBC show Any Dream Will Do, you will already have an alliance with this fella.
He was a popular finalist in the programme, eventually finishing in the top five.
But Joseph doesn't find Craig in the infancy of his career.
Before treading the stage in this role, he sang his way in the boy-band No Reason who hit the Top 10 with one of their singles.
Don't worry if you can't remember that, because we are struggling to as well.
But his appearance in this show promises to be memorable, and pretty perfect – after all, he has been serving up this role since August 2007, and he wont be hanging up the robes until next year.
The Edinburgh born success and the rest of the cast will be joined by some familiar faces for the show too: members of Myra Tiffin Arts School will form the children's choir.
Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will only stay with us for six days, so jump in quick or you'll be waiting quite some time before the opportunity presents itself once more.
Tickets range from £12 to £29 and performance times vary.

Right then, clear the throat, a deep breath and all together then: 'I closed my eyes, drew back the curtain, to see for certain what I thought I knew….'
