SPEND a very special evening of opera at Claydon House on Sunday September 7 when Candlelight Opera will be performing one of Mozart's best loved works, Cosi fan Tutte.
Subtitled "The School for Lovers", Cosi fan Tutte was Mozart's final collaboration with the librettist Lorenzo da Ponte and is considered by many to be his most refined and haunting exploration into the contradictions of the heart.

Two young officers think they are putting their sweethearts to a test, when they pretend to go away to war, but return in disguise to try and seduce each other's girlfriends.

Instead everyone receives an unexpected education in life and love. Of course, it all ends happily, or does it?

Candlelight Opera specialise in presenting quality performances of opera inside many of the country's most prestigious historic houses.

Claydon House is a Georgian country house, with fine Chinoiserie and rococo decorations. The interior features intricate wood carvings and spectacular parquetry.

This magnificent venue perfectly compliments Candlelight Opera's elegantly costumed production, which promises to recapture the glamour and elegance of this bygone era.

Bring your own picnic and enjoy the beautiful landscaped grounds, or enjoy an early supper served in The Carriage House Restaurant before taking your seats inside the Saloon for the evening's performance of Mozart's popular comic opera.

To book tickets at £39.50 or £44.50, please call 0844 561 1921. Dinner reservations must be made in advance by calling the Restaurant direct on: 01296 730004.
