PLANTS: Cholesbury Church cream teas, plant sale, tombola and bric a brac in Cholesbury Village Hall from 2pm to 5pm. Our plants are grown locally and all cakes are home made by people from the village. All proceeds to Cholesbury Church.

WALK: With the Aylesbury Society. Evening walking tour of Berkhamsted from John Cook of the Berkhamsted Citizens Association. Meet 7pm outside Railway station. Parking in the public car park, Lower Kings Road, Berkhamsted. Left at town centre lights and then on left hand side near Waitrose. Tour will be an hour finishing at a pub.

GARDENS: 3 Jubilee Cottages at Verney Junction open as part of the National Gardens Scheme. Mid terrace garden divided into rooms with vegetables, greenhouses, orchard, borders. From 2pm to 6pm, £2.50 admission, teas. For more gardens pick up a yellow NGS booklet from TICs or Libraries.

JUMBLE: Jumble sale at Buckland Village Hall, starts at 2pm.

EXHIBITION: in the Library Room at Wendover. Pen and ink drawings of Wendover and the surrounding countryside by local cartoonist and artist Bryan Reading. Bryan has produced cartoons for the Daily Mail, Evening Standard, Punch, Private Eye and many other publications. All proceeds to The Friends of St Mary's, a registered charity dedicated to the preservation and upkeep of Wendover's beautiful and historic parish church. The exhibition commences at 10am and finishes at 4.30pm.

Sunday May 31

GARDENS: East Claydon and Verney Junction Gardens - three gardens open as part of the National Gardens Scheme. From 2pm to 6pm, £3.50 combined admission, teas.

GARDENS: Nether Winchenden House gardens open as part of the National Gardens Scheme. 5 acres of rare shrubs and trees, hedges, herbaceous borders. From 2pm to 5.50pm, £3 admission.

Visitors will be given the opportunity of finding out more about The Grand Staircase with a variety of information and displays and a talk by the house staff and volunteers. PLANTS: Rare and Unusual Plant Fair at Waddesdon Plant Centre, 10am to 4pm, free. Normal admission charges apply to Waddesdon Manor. An opportunity to meet smaller growers and nurseries whose unusual ranges of plants are rarely seen in large garden centres. Also on tomorrow, Sunday June 7.

CRAFTS: Flower Festival and Craft Fair at Aylesbury Methodist Church. 10am to 4pm. Includes home produce, plants, refreshments. In aid of Aylesbury Methodist Community Centre. Also tomorrow Sunday June 7.

PARENTS GROUP: If you have a demanding job and family then join the Aylesbury Working Parents Group. Meet other parents, make new friends, socialise, babysitting circle. Activities include meals out, bowling, takeaway nights. Find out about child care options in Aylesbury. It will be your group and can become whatever you want it to be. CAREERS. Aylesbury Careers Springboard is a voluntary organisation and self help group which gives one to one help and advice, as well as jobsearch presentations, to mature managers, professionals and executives who have been made redundant or are unemployed and want to get back to work. The service is free of charge. Weekly Thursday sessions at the Multi Cultural Centre, Friarscroft Way, Aylesbury, at 7.45pm for 8pm until 9.30pm. MONTHLY DRAW: Run by the Friends of Florence Nightingale House. Their 50/50 Club is a monthly draw (which takes place on the last working Friday of every month). Half the income is used to support Florence Nightingale House and the other half given out in prizes. It costs just £1 a month to have a chance in the draw. Of course, you can buy as many chances as you wish! If there are 2,000 chances in the draw then this brings in £2,000 that month. Half (£1,000) is used to support the hospice, and the other half (£1,000) is given out in prizes. The First Prize would be £500, with a 2nd and 3rd prize of £250 each. Little Kimble. Regular events at the Free Church. Grove Lane, Little Kimble, Bucks 01844 346957. Koolkidz club for 5 - 11 year olds this happens every 4 weeks, games, song, craft and a DVD it is all free. Every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 10am we have a craft morning just bring your craft along and enjoy a coffee or tea and chat even if you do not a craft come along you may learn something new. Every 3rd Wednesday we have a charity event raising funds for different organisations. This is a coffee morning with a cake stall and a bring and buy stall. STORIES: Storytime Sessions at Princes Risborough Library for children under 5 on Thursdays during term-time. In the morning we have Musical Storytime which is a mixture of stories, rhymes and singing and is aimed at all pre-school children from 0 - 5 years. This session runs from 10.30 to 11am. Then from 2 to 2.30pm we run a Storytime, which is ideal for your child if they are between 3 - 5 years old and enjoy listening to stories. Free, all welcome.
