PCC candidate profile: Patience Tayo Awe, Independent
Thames Valley Police and crime Commissioner candidates meeting held at AVDC in Aylesbury - pictured is candidate Patience Tayo Awe
Patience Tayo Awe made a great deal of the fact she is an independent candidate and that the role should be non-partisan.
She said: “I feel any candidate representing a political party is effectively taking members of the public for granted and playing on the intelligence of people.”
She highlighted burglary and wildlife crimes as needing to be addressed, and promises to be ‘a viable link between the public and the police’.
Ms Awe, who has experience in the charity and voluntary sectors, promised to use her experience of time and financial constraints to use whatever resources are available to ‘achieve the best result’ for the region.
