CRICKET legend Phil Tufnell will be the star attraction at the 11th Bucks Herald Business Excellence Awards in May.
With Kall Kwik once again sponsoring the main event, it promises to be full of the usual razzmatazz and high drama, in its last outing at the soon-to-be-demolished Civic Centre.

A new category for 2008 is the International Trade award, which will celebrate a local business which can demonstrate they are leading the way into international markets and measuring up to the standards of global competition.

The Bucks Herald's Nikola Springett, who is organising the awards, said: "Hopefully this new award is going to attract a lot of new entries and new names within the area. It's nice to have a fresh category."

Affectionately known throughout the cricketing world as 'The Cat', Phil Tufnell has entertained many television and sporting crowds over the years, and has earned a huge following since his exploits on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

Mrs Springett said: "We are really excited about Phil coming to the awards. Cannon and Ball are going to be hard to beat from last year, but we have heard some very good reports about him."

The awards will be held on Friday, May 23. Tickets, costing £65, and applications packs are available from Nikola Springett on 01296 619716 or email nikola510@hotmail.co.uk.

The categories are:

Innovation, sponsored by Natwest.
Small Business, sponsored by Mortimers.
Most Dynamic New Business, sponsored by Clark Howes.
Company of the Year, sponsored by ETA Circuit Breakers.
Entrepreneur of the Year, sponsored by Aylesbury Vale District Council
International Trade, sponsored by Hillier Hopkins
Boss of the Year, sponsored by DS Automotives
Team of the Year, sponsored by Friars Square Shopping Centre.
In addition, the Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust is our Gala Event sponsor for the evening.
