A LUXURY 'hotel' for the dogs of the rich and famous has reached 30 years of being in business.
In stark contrast to traditional kennels, The Elmwood Exclusive Hotel for Dogs contains fully furnished rooms which include televisions, carpets, sofa and armchair to make its guests feel right at home; they are even served champagne and food from Harrods or played rock music to recreate their normal environment.

Owner John Burton, 70, who was a lorry driver before opening Elmwood Exclusive, said: "When we set up the business we were trying to corner the market.

"Because where we live is in a sulubrious area we didn't want an ordinary kennel, we didn't want 100 dogs barking at night and our neighbours knocking on the door."

For the full article, including how a planning dispute with Chiltern District Council is putting a dampner on Elmwood Exclusive's celebrations, pick up a copy of Business Herald, free with this week's Bucks Herald.
