Corporate sponsorship plea
THE PACE Centre in Aylesbury is appealing to local businesses to sponsor a child, service or give a donation as part of their new corporate sponsorship scheme.
The PACE centre is a charity for children with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy and offers training of essential daily living skills which most other children take for granted.
Aylesbury based business, Sivatech Training Solutions have already pledged £2,500 to support the centre and are encouraging other businesses to do the same.
Managing director of Sivatech Steve Richards said: "I urge other Aylesbury Vale businesses to pledge their support to PACE's standing as a leading UK charity for children and families affected by cerebral palsy, founded and based right here in Aylesbury."
Simon Ekless, fundraising and marketing manager at The PACE Centre said that corporate support of the centre would enable companies to promote a positive image to their customers and build connections into the community.
Research has also showed that 87 per cent of employees believe that a company that supports work in its community is a good company to work for.
The PACE centre is in major need of funds as although it receives some funding from Local Authorities, this falls a long way short of the actual costs of providing for the children.
As well as corporate sponsorship, local companies can also donate unwanted office stock, provide a room or employees can volunteer to help at the centre.
