CHESHAM Building Society has donated £505 to Florence Nightingale Hospice in Aylesbury.
At this year's AGM a total of £1,010 was raised, which has been divided equally between two charities, the Florence Nightingale Hospice in Aylesbury and the Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted – that's 50p pence for each of the members who voted at its annual meeting this year.

This AGM 'cash for votes' initiative is becoming something of a tradition for Chesham Building Society. It is the second year in a row that the mutual has given support to important local causes in order to encourage a high voter turnout.

Paul Kilbride, chief executive of Chesham Building Society, said: "We are pleased that we are able to support our local hospices."
