ONE of the UK's leading support service providers has been awarded a contract to arrange the daily transport for more than 17,000 Bucks residents.
From June 1, Amey plc will manage transport on behalf of the county council.

The signing of the five-year contract marks the end of an 18-month review of the way client transport is delivered.

Its aim was to create a more efficient network of services, whilst maintaining a high-standard.

Valerie Letheren, Cabinet Member for Transportation, said: "Client transport is integral to local communities across Buckinghamshire and is a lifeline to those who need to use it.

"There are exciting times ahead and we will be working together to build even better services for those who rely on them."

Steve Helliwell, managing director of logistics within Amey, added: "Working with Buckinghamshire County Council to deliver these essential services to the community is a much welcomed opportunity for Amey."
